They are cookie cutter hearts and houses. Their top surface is very gently rounded, almost flat, and they are about half an inch thick and an even light brown colour. They have a hole with ribbon through to hang in the tree. They definitely look like they are made of foodstuff and not craft clay or anything, yet they are not salt dough and they have not been glazed or varnished. They have not deteriorated in 15 years and not been attacked by biscuit beetle or bugs. I keep them in a glass jar. There is royal icing piping on them in patterns of snow flakes and dots and swirls. They came in cellophane bags when I bought them AND WOULD YOU BELIEVE, THE CELLO BAGS WENT YELLOW, HARD AND CRACKED AND SELF DESTRUCTED AFTER ABOUT 3 YEARS, so I put them in fresh cello bags every few years. I would love to make some more. The labels came off them years ago and got lost. I bought them in a department store. They are about 5 inches across.

I clicked on the link, thank you. In Australia, white glue that is used in school by kids, is called KLAG. I suppose it would be equal to Elmer’s. After reading your answer, I bit the bullet and went to the jar and with trepidation, tongued one of the hearts. No taste of salt at all, could taste flour, and had aftertaste of maybe GLUE. I will try the recipe, thank you. After I wash my mouth out!!!!

Kindergarten Room Mother “HOLIDAY PARTY” Ideas? PLEASE HELP US!!?
4 Crafts & 1 snack. My friend and I are room mothers for our kids kindergarten class. I have searched the internet up and down but don’t really find anything interesting. We are trying to come up w/ some cute ideas but haven’t really found any yet. The kids only go half day, so we only have 2 hours to do this party. The rules are no christmas things, like santa, christmas trees, and whatever else might be related(which I think is stupid). So I’m assuming that we can’t do any Hanukkah related themes either. But Anyways.. we need to come up w/ 4 crafts for the kids to do, and a snack to make. The thing w/ the snacks is.. we can’t make them at home, or prepare for them @ home.. We have to prepare everything at the school (I think b/c of things like hepatitis) . We have like 1/2 hour to get things ready for the kids while they are in their special (gym, etc) if that helps. I really would like some cute suggestions that might be memorable for them and any ideas like keepsakes that their parents would like to keep around. I know this might be asking for too much, but I’m just hoping to get some ideas to roll w/. We can do anything else to do w/ winter, like snowman, etc. Also we can’t have the kids exchange gifts or anything along those lines. These rules are limiting our ideas so– We really need some assistance and Thank You Very much; Your ideas are very much appreciated!!!!

I know I said I didn’t like that rule & you are right.. it is a good rule b/c of that reason, I just wish we could have the different crafts ready to make, like christmas, hannukah, and whatever else they might celebrate & just have them choose which one they want to do, but that would be way to complicated anyways:)

i already have a really high paying job but it doesnt take up much of my time so i thought about opening a home buisness and im really good with crafts of all kind but i would like to make teddy bears that are personlized kinda like build a bear i guess but people would order them.and i was thinking craft shows and ebay.and make no bear the same so everyone would be one of a kind.is this something you might want i mean bears are great keepsakes for kids right?and theres valentines,easter,christmas,halloween,and birthdays.for themes.how many people think this is a good idea?please dont be rude.any tips or help would be apprecitated also thanks alot.
